Matthew wandered through 'that guy Ron's' house, dumping a few bottles of alcohol, from the pile Ron had messily shoved into his arms earlier, at what he considered strategic locations throughout the rooms. Walking into the huge living room he frowned slightly, "The music's shit, Ron," he called out and the guy in question emerged from the kitchen with bowls of good.
"There isn't any music on..." he started, running a hand through his hair in confusion.
Matt rolled his eyes, "Yeah, exactly my point," he retorted mockingly. "Jesus have you never thrown a house party before?" he asked but then a usual overly-happy smile grew, "Good thing you have me to help you 'set up', huh mate?" he joked, patting him on the shoulder in a consoling way before heading over to the state of the art stereo that Ron's parents owned and he was pretty sure would be damaged in some way by the end of the night- if it was a decent party that is.
Grabbing a handful of CDs from the pile he loaded them up in the CD player, confusedly picking up the complicated remote and pressing random buttons until he found the 'shuffle' mode. "And, voilà, that's better already," he assured Ron, shoving the remote into his hands with a grin before diving back into the kitchen to find some vodka.
((ooc: Okay this was a crap start but if anyone wants to be there already 'setting up' or arrive, come on in! Matt would have passed flyers out to anyone and everyone so, dudes, just get on in here!))

Sitting on the floor in some guy's house, clearly not helping with the set up in the least, Kevin turned his head. "The silence was better," he complained while leaning his head back against a chair. The last thing he wanted to do was hang around with his ridiculous camp cousin and some guy he'd literally never seen before in his life while listening to music he HATED and feeling completely and utterly sober, yet... that seemed to be exactly what he was doing. They really needed to hurry up with that vodka.
"Reckon this would break if I threw it at someone's head?" he asked lightly while heaving a lamp in his right hand. Kevin could only assume that was his purpose in helping to set up -- to assess what kind of damage an average destructive teenager could do to a house.

Rolling his eyes at his cousin Kevin, Matt emerged from the kitchen holding a couple of bottles of vodka and glasses. "Get enough of this down you and you won't give a crap about what's going on around you," he told him with a smile, shoving a bottle of vodka and a glass at him before wandering off as he heard the front door open. "Yes it would," he called back to Kevin, "You don't need to throw it at me to test whether it will now."
Walking back into the kitchen, he saw Wes, Rachael and Sid arrive he raised his free hand in greeting, "Hey guys and girl," he called before frowning slightly, having overheard Wes' words, "Why are you looking for my sister? And yeah, do us a favour Wes, grab those beers from over there," he indicated with his head to the pile by the kitchen door. "You and Rach huh?" he asked with an amused smile, raising his eyebrows suggestively.

Shrugging he nodded, "Yeah I did, he looked bored already, thought it'd shut him up," Matt explained and then smiled, "Go for it, Wes, oh wait looks like you are," he said good naturedly. Leaning against the counter, leaving Wes to do his magic with the blender- it was usually Wes who managed to make the most lethal mixes that had you dancing on tables after one sip- he listened coolly as he explained about Sid's 'situation'. Opening his mouth to protest about knowing Evelyn was gonna get laid with Sid of all people he groaned in annoyance as Wes put the blender on to drown out his intended words.
Sighing overly dramatically he tapped his foot impatiently and then smiled wryly at Wes, "Do us a favour, if Evvy's gonna be sleeping with Sid, don't tell me anything more about it," he requested with a small smile. As protective as he was of Evelyn he knew it was no use, he wasn't about to stop her from doing something she liked, and end up acting like an overly protective prat. She'd proven she could take care of herself anyway.
"You've been together 'for a while'? Been together as in what, sneaked around?" he asked good naturedly with a laugh, "Because no offence but no way would Beckett trust you take out his daughter... or have you charmed him too?" he asked with an amused snort. Wes was good at that, charming people into believing he was an honourable young gentleman when everyone else knew he was everything but!

"Yeah? Good," he stated simply, pretending to wipe his forehead in relief before smiling once more. Knowingly nodding as Wes began to smile Matt tutted, "See I knew that was more like it, you're too charming Wes, it's unnerving, at least give her dad a chance to fully loathe you," he joked.
Shrugging casually he stuffed his hands in his jeans pockets and leaned against the counter top, "Meh, nah, you know me, like the low key lifestyle," he started but then laughed, "I couldn't even get through that without laughing," he remarked. "Wellllll I finally perfected that swing routine I've been practicing for weeks, I got a little 'squiffy' at Tom's party a couple of days ago and slept with Jen... that was a mistake, let me tell you. I've been avoiding her ever since by never remaining in one part of Hogsmeade or Diagon Alley or any wizarding place for any length of time, all that takes it out of you... really it does. I've spent all of today avoiding Bradley who suddenly has it in for me for a reason I didn't ask and I think my parents know I'm not 'strictly straight'..." he finished listing the main events off before snorting, "Actually if they haven't realised I'm not 'strictly straight' then they're idiots. And you, Wes? Come on, what made it into the countdown of the top five events of your week?" he asked jokingly, grabbing a bottle of WKD, opening it and taking a sip as he waited.

((ooc: Not that it matters but Alexis is wearing this)) Alexis sauntered through the open door after a bunch of giggly girls that looked like they’d already had a drink (or two) somewhere else. Traipsing through the rooms her wide eyes searched around for the familiar blonde hair she knew so well. Matt had given her the flyer so she could only assume he’d be here. Hearing familiar voices as she passed the kitchen she stopped and turned right back around. Smiling as she heard something about Jen and the other events in Matt’s life. Lexi made a noisy entrance, pushing the door open with a loud bang as it hit the wall and swung back again, “Avoiding Jen like the plague, almost getting murdered by Bradley and drama with the parents, wow, what a charmed life you lead Mattie,” she chimed in, and smiled from Matt to Wes, “Hey guys, watcha doin’?” she asked casually, hopping to sit on top of the counter.

"Yeah, you're not good enough and he knows for a fact you'd shag her straight away, that's two things straight away that Daddy Beckett would hate about you," Matt remarked simply, "His favourite or not, he's not going to look kindly upon a young man 'violating' any of his daughters is he?" he commented with a wave of his hand as though this somehow illustrated the point, "Chelle's cool though, you think it'll last longer than, say, a week?" he asked jokingly with a good natured smile at Wesley.
"Shit or otherwise, it's better to have something going on that nothing," he shrugged his shoulders casually with a smile before nodding, and snorting in disbelief, at Wesley's commentary of his week. "You drove the drugs into the ocean? Wes, my man, why, why would you do that?" he asked with a laugh before taking a sip of his drink. "Heyyyy Peanut, how's life?" he greeted Lexi before nodding, "For sure it's a charmed life," he joked, for some reason saying 'for sure' in an Irish accent, though such things were pretty normal with Matthew. "Wel I wouldn't change it at all... well actually now I think about it I would have maybe added a good party and erased the bit about Jen but, like, apart from that it's super, you know?" he chattered. Looking at Lexi as she jumped up onto the counter his expression turned dark, "We are... plotting your demise, seriously, I hate to have to tell you like this but we are," he told her in a faux-sincere way before shrugging, "Or, you know, drinking and sorting out alcohol, whichever. You wanna drink?" he asked, pushing himself away off the counter to get her one.

Jumping up onto the counter Alexis smiled at the both of them. “My window,” she answered simply. This was a difficult feet considering she was on the 2nd story of a huge mansion. “Yep, still grounded, but it’s not like my parents care anyway, or have to know about it,” she added with a triumphant smile. “Sure, I’d love one, thanks,” she told Matt, taking the drink from him.
“I plan on getting a little wild at this party, so I better start early,” she smiled, “Speaking of wild, where’s your sister?” she asked Wes, unbeknownst to him Claire was a bit more open when she had a bit of alcohol in her system.

Nodding in agreement, Matt smiled, "Yeah that sucks, in a way, that he doesn't seem to care but I doubt Lexi minds, she can go out without an inquisition into who she's going to be out with," he suggested simply. Snorting Matt held his hands up in defence, "Okay, sorry, a year... wow... Wes, I'm all impressed, you're all grown up," he teased easily with a grin.
"Aaaah Sid's fault, right! Say no more," he waved a hand vaguely before smiling slightly, everyone seemed to blame things on Sid, Wes definitely did, though most of the time it held some shred of the truth Matt often found. "Hang on, your bedroom is on the second floor, do you have a death wish Peanut?" he asked as he shrugged away from the counter and grabbed her a bottle, opening it and handing it to her before shaking his head. "Lexi, Lexi, your parents care, maybe they just trust that when you do go out you'll behave responsibly?" he suggested before laughing in amusement at the idea of Alexis being so completely innocent all the time. "Wild, huh? Well I can certainly help you with that!" he chirped with a grin before shaking his head at Wes as he was protective over Claire.

Alexis shrugged, “Nah, I just like jumping,” she exclaimed with an excited grin as Matt opened her bottle for her, “Thanks Mattie, you always remember to open it without me having to ask,” she said almost a little teasingly, but in a playful friendly manner, “And I didn’t jump straight from my window, I climbed down to the roof of the first story and then jumped from there,” she explained.
She snorted at the idea of her being ‘innocent,’ and even more at her parents actually caring about her. “Yeaaah, that’s a load of crap,” she said, and then smiled an almost sexy smile, but it was too adorable to be entirely seductive, “Really? Well, good, I think I’ll need a lot of help if Claire isn’t going to be here,” she directed that comment purposely at Wes to watch him squirm uncomfortably. Wes may help his sister sneak out and cover for her, but he obviously didn’t like to think about what Claire got up to while she was out with her friends.

"Yeah, I guessed that," Matt admitted jokingly with a grin. Indeed when he hung out with Lexi, if you dared her to do things, jumping off stuff included, she'd do it confidently. "Of course I remember, only the best for mademoiselle," he joked, sweeping into an overly showy bow in front of her before straightening and grinning, taking another sip of the WKD bottle.
"Aaww, Lexi," he started with a sad voice and then shrugged, "Well we care so does that count for anything?" he asked light heartedly before glancing between Wes and Alexis as they talked of Claire. "Oh I can do that, it's nothing," he said, waving his hand to illustrate this before smiling, "Aaaaand, come on Peanut, if you want to be 'wild' we can't stay in the kitchen forever like pathetic teenagers who hate parties," he commented, downing some more of his drink. "So, Miss Beckett, would you give me the pleasure of honouring me with your hand for a dance?" he asked dramatically with a smile in an 'old fashioned way', holding out his hand ready to pull her back into the living room which the dance music was now blaring from.

He who complains loudest gets the finest liquor to shut him up. Kevin poured his own drink and mumbled a vague "cheers" to Matt, who had handed it to him.
Kevin faked throwing the lamp at his cousin when he mentioned it, pulling back at the last second and laughing. He wouldn't admit to being actual friends with the guy or anything, but he was at least somewhat more tolerable than his siblings -- the prat or the loony one or the other one who Kevin could never remember. "It's my lover, what of it," Kevin told the blonde girl who had asked about the lamp. She was hot, but he couldn't for the life of him recall if they were related in some way -- damn that pureblood inbreeding -- so he did little more than a cursory glance at her tits and arse.
"Aaaah, godspeed sir," Kevin said, clapping the shoulder of Sid, who was apparently going to lose the old v-card that night. "Wear a rubber," he added with a nod, just in case he wasn't being quite thoughtful and helpful enough.

There was one sure thing about Alexis that everyone could count on, if she was dared to do something, she would do it, no matter how dangerous, or humiliating. Lexi smiled, a sweet, almost shy (if she was the more shy blushing type) smile, “Thanks,” she grinned, taking a sip of her drink, she always enjoyed his theatrical gestures.
Lexi brushed it off with a shrug of her shoulders, “You guys are my family really, so yeah,” she said making a wide sweeping gesture as if to indicate the household full of people, not just Wes and Matt. “Alright,” she smiled, linking arms with Matt, and sticking her nose in the air as if to be very proper for a second before erupting into giggles. “C’mon Wesley, don’t want to sulk in the kitchen now do you?” she teased, turning back with a cute grin as Wes made a faux-glare in her direction for calling him by his full name as he followed them with a trey of the mixed drinks he’d concocted.

Adelle carefully unlatched the back door and quietly slipped back into the house. She had stepped out momentarily to have a smoke and get her nerves under control -- there were only so many people she could handle at a time and this was probably pushing the limit. Taking a drink she couldn't identify from someone she'd never seen before and nicking a tiny blue drink umbrella from the cupboard, she spun the umbrella lightly between her fingers and moved from the kitchen.
She spotted Matt dancing with Alexis, and when they made eye contact she gave a silly little raise-of-the-eyebrows, smiling out of the side of her mouth for only a split second before getting jostled by the crowd. Adelle crossed her arms protectively over her chest and ducked to avoid some random guy's wildly swinging limbs as he danced. Extracting herself from the worst of the crowd, she couldn't help but stare at Wesley and Rachael in the center of the room, moving in sync with each other and practically demanding attention. Adelle exhaled forcefully, her eyebrows in a deep furrow. She didn't understand what Chelle saw in him, or what she was getting out of that relationship, and... it bothered Adelle, to say the least. A girl like that deserved better.
Finding a nice safe wall to lean against, she slipped her lighter into her back pocket. "So I hear you're going to shag my sister," she said blankly to Sid, as if she were just making bored conversation about school or the weather. Adelle just glanced briefly and nodded at her cousin Kevin standing there with the vodka in his hand, just doing the bare minimum to acknowledge his presence. Years had taught her that the two of them had literally nothing to say to each other, so they just... didn't.

Matt grinned, "Exactly," he assured her before nodding encouragingly. Looking sideways at her as she linked arms with him and stuck her nose in the air before breaking out into laughter he smiled, "The lady finds me amusing? How charming," he joked in a prim, regal voice so different to his own before laughing as he pulled Lexi into the living room where people were dancing.
Glancing back in time to see Wes' knowing nod he mouthed 'what is it?' to him innocently but seeing he was merely gesturing knowingly to Alexis he rolled his eyes and murmured something along the lines of 'piss off' as he turned to the girl in question when they reached the crowd of people dancing. Spotting his twin sister out of the corner of his eye he raised a hand in greeting with the usual accompanying grin but looked slightly curious and confused as she seemed entranced by Wes and Rachael's dancing. He could see why... fuck they could dance. And if he was into either of them at all it would only make it all the more harder to live with knowing he'd never shag either of them. Wondering whether his sister was therefore checking out Wes or what he seemed distracted before he shook it off.
"Sorry," he apologised to Alexis, who surely must have noticed before settling his hands on her waist, the two of them moving to the beat of the music quite closely, never as closely as Wes and Chelle- they were almost scandalous really- but enough to make people suggest something was there between them. "Oh fuck, Bradley found me... urgh," he groaned in annoyance as he spotted his brother's figure moving through the hallway, "Miss Beckett, I have a question for you, as my intelligent friend... do you see what any girl could ever see in Bradley? He's an utter prat," he muttered incredulously as he moved to the quickening beat of the music blasting out.
