Name: Scarlett Rachel Adams
Nicknames: Red, Scar
Blood: pureblood
Age: 31 (b: 21 July, 1981)
Year: Graduated- was Gryffindor
Appearance: Scarlett has red hair with a chunk of blonde in the front. Her eyes are a warm amber brown colour, like that of a cat. She favors very classic makeup, cat-eye eyeliner and mascara with a nude, peach or petal pink lip, or sometimes bright fuchsia or berry lips. Her style is generally refined, tailored and elegant, but also with big splashes of colour. She likes bright colours and jewel tones. Accessories are a much have Scarlett is accustomed to carrying large purses, wearing expensive high heels, and one of a kind necklaces, rings and bracelets. She is always wearing earrings, and has two holes in each ear often wearing some sort of diamond studs along with a pair of dangly earrings.
Personality: Scarlett is a bombshell, vivacious, fun, interesting. If her flaming red hair doesn’t attract you her magnetic personality certainly will. She is very outgoing, chatty, and rather bold. Some fight her loud flashiness rather off-putting, but she is very laid-back, easy-going and down-to-earth and finds the stuffy uptight posh circles she runs in to be quite hilarious most of the time. Even so Scarlett knows when to be polite, and a very classy and elegant woman. Scarlett also has this very sweet, genuine side to her. She can be quiet. She loves doing things such as yoga and reading. She is a very open, friendly, warm and caring person. This part of her makes her so much more infectious. She is not without her many faults. Her stubbornness and pride often get in the way of her showing her true feelings for someone or something. In otherwise awkward or tense situations she tends to turn towards humor. She has a very strong personality and sometimes she act more like a typical ‘guy’ because she shies away from talking about ‘feelings,’ and yet she tends to wear her heart on her sleeve most of the time. She trusts far too easily and makes friends with anyone, and doesn’t always have the best judgment of character. Others tend to take advantage of her wealth and kindness.
Background: Scarlett grew up well-to-do in a modestly large estate under Mr Claude Adams and Mrs Frances Adams (nee Renaldi). She has one older brother Hunter Adams (34) who is married to Juliet Adams (nee Brown), and living very happily as a History Professor at Oxford. Her younger brother Elijah Adams (29) is an artist and occasional bartender who can never keep a proper job or a girlfriend (he is a bit of a womanizer to say the least). Scarlett is thankful she doesn’t have any sisters otherwise she fears she would be insatiably competitive with them.
After marrying a very wealthy man Scarlett has a home fit for the pemberley that looks like this and this, this is probably the best picture of her mansion and the grounds and fountain.
She fell deeply in love with her husband who died three years ago in a car accident. Her husband Johnny Hudson was a very powerful wealthy prominent figure in the Ministry of Magic. He was also an alcoholic with a temper. Scarlett would never say that her husband abused her, but he didn’t know his own strength when he was in one of his moods, and she put up with his temper. Her stubbornness was equal to his.
They met when Scarlett was 21, a fresh faced graduate of Hogwarts and University who was living in New York trying to get by while attending a prestigious dance Academy. Johnny was a big time director and he saw something in Scarlett that he hadn’t seen in years, a fire, a life-force. Johnny had been in somewhat of a slump for a while ever since his first wife had left and then divorced him after he cheated on her with a fellow professor. As far as everyone else was concerned it had started long before then but Scarlett’s presence somehow brought Johnny back to life.
After and during her time as the starlet of numerous ballets and performances Johnny and Scarlett indulged in an inappropriate love affair that lasted two years before they got married. Much to the Professor Elsa’s (who Johnny had previously had an affair with) dismay he was utterly in love with Scarlett.
Five years into their somewhat tumultuous but passionate marriage, after an accident Scarlett never likes to speak of thus ended her career as a ballerina. A year later, their marriage had crumbled quite drastically. Johnny, despite his many faults and misgivings worried that Scarlett was going to leave him unable to put up with his drunken tirades any longer bought her the grandest estate he could possibly find in the English Countryside. They moved to England with battered hopes, but hopes nonetheless. Johnny died four months later in a car accident, he had been intoxicated.
For three years Scarlett traveled, mostly to France where she spent her days cooking and studying under a renowned chef. She had to distance herself from the memories of her life but has now returned. Scarlett has opened a very posh restaurant in Hogsmeade, and a more casual café in Diagon Alley and enticed some of her best friends who she has met along her travels to come work for her at either location. Both of her businesses appear to be thriving.
Characteristics: Other than loving all forms of art (though especially painting and ceramics, she has her own art studio with a lovely bay window and shutters that overlook the many pools and fountain), Scarlett is also a voracious reader. She loves shopping. She loves to dance. She also loves to cook.
Other: She has a big fluffy tabby cat named Clover.
