Overloaded with bags of groceries, Daisy bustled herself into Williams house without even knocking, sending Leia & Luke to run in and warn their uncle that they were coming in & now.
Putting the bags down in the kitchen, daisy started to prepare cups for tea before turning to the doorway, where her confused looking brother in law stood. "Hi Will! How are you? Ok? You're looking thin..." she scolded, looking over him before flicking her wand at the bags, the contents of which flying to the cupboards on their own. "I havent had lunch, shall we have lunch together?" she asked with a smile, not waiting for his reply as she began to make sandwiches for them all.
"Hows Hannah? Where is she?" she asked, finally stopping talking so he could answer a question, passing him a cup of tea before depositing sandwiches into her childrens hands to quieten them, her eyebrow raised as she awaited his answer.
(ooc. Hope this was ok Emma!)

((ooc: It was fab, I love Daisy, bless her!))
Happily minding his own business in the back room, scribbling away his article for the Prophet, Will looked up in alarm as two young children suddenly tore into the room and proceeded to call his name incessantly. He never understood how his niece and nephew had so much energy all the time. “Alright, alright, I’m coming,” he placated them with a shake of his head a laugh, grabbing Luke around the middle and hoisting him up into his arms as the boy made to run off again – probably to torture Will’s cat as he so often did when Daisy and the kids popped over… which they seemed to be doing a lot lately.
Locating Daisy in his kitchen, already making some tea, he lingered in the doorway, “Hmm I believe this little rascal belongs to you,” Will announced, finally letting a squirming Luke down again with a warning look regarding ‘playing with’ Douglas. “I’m fine thanks, I’m not looking thin, never will be… too many biscuits I’m afraid,” he joked, patting his stomach light heartedly before frowning in confusion as groceries flew round him and into cupboards. “Dais, you don’t need to shop for me, you know? I’m fine, tip top, dandy!” he exclaimed. He didn’t bother to reply to her question about lunch because he knew she’d already decided they were having it together regardless of his refusal or acceptance.
“Hannah’s good! Great even! She’s at her friend Sophie’s for lunch. Holly- I mean- Sophie’s mum, is dropping her back off in an hour or so,” he explained, as if to prove that yes he was aware where his child was and yes she was safe and sound and yes he knew what time to expect her back by or else be gripped by the worst possible worry in the world. Before Hannah had arrived he honestly thought the worst anxiety he’d ever felt was trying to ask a girl out on a date – now he knew just how easy that was in comparison to the worry for your child’s safety. Accepting the cup of tea Daisy passed him he leaned back against the kitchen top and took a sip, “I am fine, you know? Really. I mean sure I still don’t think I’m a very good dad, and sure it hurts to think that that poor girl has lost her mum and has me as a substitute and sure it makes me flat-out panic when I stop and realise I’m responsible for another human being but… it’s about time, isn’t it?” he shrugged his shoulders in a ‘what can you do?’ kind of way.

Looking up at her brother in law who was depositing her son back on his feet, Daisy nodded her head before shrugging her shoulders, "I said you're looking thin because to me....you're looking thin" she gave him a warning look, brandishing a knife covered in butter in an almost threatening manner.
Blushing briefly as he noticed the shopping, Daisy shook her head and decided to play it dumb, "What? No I wasnt shopping for you, I just went a bit mad on our shop & now we have no room so rather than waste it I thought you'd like it? Hannah mentioned how much she liked some of this stuff, it'd be a shame to waste it, y'know?" she looked around, this was of course a huge lie so she refrained from making eye contact as that'd just give her away completely.
Biting her sandwich, she listened to William talk before she ushered him into a chair, sitting herself down opposite him and giving him a stern look. "William Binns, if you say one more time how you're not a good father I will cut your B-A-Double Ls off. You're doing a fine job, she's alive & sane and quite frankly for someone who's lost their mother she is bloody happy so stop this silliness or so help me God!" Daisy sighed loudly before nodding at Luke who was telling her off for saying 'bloody'.
"I come around because I worry, not about Hannah because I can see you're doing an excellent job there but about you. I worry about you & how you're coping & if you're still being so hard on yourself. If Joe & I ever die, you'd be my first choice to take these two on. No question" Daisy shook her head, before smiling at Will, "Is your sandwich ok?" she asked him, fussing over him as if he was also one of her kids.

Will’s face fell in confusion, the lines on his brow deepening, as Daisy reiterated that he was looking thin, “I’m really, really not, I promise you, I’m the same as ever. I mean I suppose I could feasibly have lost a few pounds, I mean I don’t weight myself, but then again I don’t really pay attention to my weight, I don’t think I even own a set of scales and…” he ceased his rambling then as he realised she was holding up the butter-covered knife in an almost threatening way, “Oh, I see. Umm… maybe I am looking thin, in that case,” he agreed quietly.
“Dais,” he shook his head as she seemed to suddenly find it hard to make eye contact with him - probably because she was telling a little white lie about the shopping. “Hannah does, she’s a fiend for spaghetti shapes and potato waffles,” he mentioned but then, shaking his head slightly to get back on topic, he held a hand up, “But I know what you’re doing and, please, I promise you I’m managing fine and you don’t need to stock my cupboards for me. That being said, I do appreciate it, obviously, but you really don’t need to, okay?” he prompted her, looking expectantly at her – she’d have to make eye contact eventually, surely?
Allowing himself to be ushered into a wooden chair at the kitchen table he sheepishly swallowed a mouthful of sandwich at Daisy’s stern expression. “I’m sorry. I can’t help but feel it, though. The way I see it is, yes, she’s alive and holding up pretty damn well, all things considered… I guess that’s her mum’s side in her, she always was strong,” Will commented, finding himself staring a tad morosely down at his sandwich as he spoke of Rachel O’Callaghan, before he shook it off and took another bite of the sandwich itself. “I just hope Hannah really is okay. It must be hard, coming to an entirely new place, new life, new school, new friends, new parent! Do you think she likes… do you think she likes me?” he asked tentatively. He hated having to ask such a question but he just didn’t see how he could ever even come close to her mother and so wasn’t even sure if the girl liked him. She sort of had to like him but he had no way of telling what Rachel had said to Hannah about her father before she’d died, what kind of picture she’d painted of Will, or if she’d even mentioned him at all.
“You don’t need to worry about me,” he assured her, his voice quiet in that moment, and he raised his head to meet her gaze steadily, “What I mean to say is… please don’t worry about me. I am hard on myself, I’ve been told that a lot, even Holly mentioned it and she’s only known me properly for a couple of weeks now. It’s just how I am. Come on, half of it is just self-deprecation that’s part of an inherent, national tendency to pessimism, I’m English, it’s what we do, along with queuing and moaning.” Nodding, “It’s great, Dais, thanks,” he assured her as she fussed over him just as she did with Luke and Leia and their lunch, “So how has your week been… busy?” he asked, hoping to steer the conversation away from himself.

Avoiding eye contact when she didnt want to admit she was possibly in the wrong was a talent of Daisys but eventually she slowly looked over at Will and made eye contact, sighing loudly before nodding her head, "Fine, no more food packages that I just happen to have bought, but you better start eating properly. I will know...and no, tea & biscuits ISNT a meal, no matter what you Binns boys think" Daisy smirked as she shook her head, if her husband had his way they'd live on tetley & jaffa cakes.
Leaning over & wiping Leia's mouth with the back of her hand, Daisy moved so her daughter could crawl onto her lap, passing her her sippy cup before she began to rock her, doing all of this whilst she ate her sandwich & listened to Will. "I understand it's going to be hard, you have to form a whole 8 years of a relationship in a short space of time but you are doing incredibly well. She loves you, any fool can tell! Im sure Rach wouldnt have dragged your name through the mud either, she was a nice girl..." Daisy paused, she didnt like to talk about Rachel, she wasnt sure how William felt about her or if he'd grieved her death properly.
"I cant not worry about you, your MY Will!" Daisy smiled before laughing as Leia piped up with "Willy Binns!", the nickname Luke & Joe had invented for William. "Yes, Willy Binns! Sleep young lady, now" Daisy raised an eyebrow at Leia before smiling at Will, "You're a Binns as well. You lot are terrible for self deprecation. My week? Quiet really, I took it off work so I could babysit you..." Daisy nodded, her face serious before she smirked at him.
(ooc. Argh, this is terrible. I apologise. Also...the more I write the more I realise that had Daisy met Will before Joe, she probably would've fancied him. She has a real soft spot for him)

“I do eat properly!” Will protested defensively, “Tea and biscuits is a meal, you have two major foodgroups right there… if it’s a jammy dodge, as is my personal favourite, that has fruit jam, so that’s three,” he argued, his tone becoming light then as he smiled at Daisy. “I promise,” he added seriously.
Then, he looked unsure, “You really think she does like me?” he asked, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly as he realised he was just being silly. “Yeah, I don’t think Rach would have been that petty, just because we didn’t work out she wouldn’t have been mean about me to Hannah. I just wasn’t sure how much she’d mentioned of me, she’d have been quite within her rights not to mention me I suppose… though she was the one who left me without telling me she was pregnant so… I’m not quite sure where that left us. And now I guess I’ll never find out,” he realised with a sigh at this, running a hand wearily across his face as if to shake off dwelling on Rachael or what they could have had.
“A particularly interesting nickname, thanks,” Will commented dryly as he chewed another mouthful of sandwich thoughtfully. “Aaah, good point, we Binnses aren’t the most self-confident people… to be honest, I think all potential for confidence was saved up and Alex ended up with it all in his DNA,” he shrugged jokingly but then listened thoughtfully again as she then talked of her week, or rather joked about it. “Dais… don’t… honestly, how’s work been? And these two terrors?” he asked, leaning down to ruffle Luke’s hair as he sat cross-legged eating his own lunch.
((ooc: It’s not terrible, Daisy is lovely as ever! Aww that’s cute, I like that, let’s run with it because I have a sort of feeling Will probably used to have a thing for Daisy but obv it’s his brother.))
