Geoffrey stood in the Arithmancy section of Flourish & Blott's, staring at the cover of his first (and most likely only) book. Fun with Numbers! boasted a playful yellow cover cluttered with brightly colored symbols and a picture of his cat dressed in professorial tweed. He grabbed the top copy and discretely scribbled his name in the front cover, more for his own benefit than the possibility that anyone would ever want his signature. Hell, all of the young Arithmancy enthusiasts in this shop probably had quite enough of Geoff's chicken scratch after all of the homework and exams he'd graded.
It was just... incredible, is all. If someone had told aimless 25-year-old Geoff that one day he would have not only started but finished a book, not to mention that he was also soon to be married... he would have never believed it.
Hearing footsteps behind him, Geoff shuffled to the side and pretended to flip through the first book he saw -- which happened to be one on potions for the elimination of scabs and rashes.
(ooc: anyone~)

Clutching two copies of the book she had been sent to buy, Lillian smirked as she saw a familiar face and shffled over to where he stood, coughing loudly, "OH-EM-GEE, are you like....Geoff Freeman? Im like...you're biggest fan! SIGNMYFACE!" Lillian squealed in a fake Valley Girls accent before smiling at her formoer crush, who was now her sisters fiancée.
"Seriously...scabs and rashes? Something you want to talk about or...." she trailed off before holding up the 2 copies of his book that she'd been sent to buy. "Super author, for the win!" she smiled at him, thinking it great that he'd done something cool, even if the book was on a subject she couldnt care less about.
(ooc. I dont even know why I thought Lil would be the best to post here lol)

Geoff held his glasses and squinted, pretending not to recognize his future sister-in-law (boy, if that wasn't a strange thought). "Lillian Turner? Two copies! Wow! Must be some book."
He flipped the cover of the scab and rash book in his hands, feigning bemusement. "Is this not War and Peace? Huh..." Geoff stroked his beard lightly before putting the book back on its shelf. He smiled kindly at Lillian, inclining his head slightly in thanks. He assumed she was an Arithmancy enthusiast! He probably assumed far too many people were also Arithmancy enthusiasts. "So, what have you been up to lately?"
