Faith was at the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, she was there to pick up a few potions slipped into the form of bullets to tranquilize a few beasts she had been tracking who had been wreaking havoc on a few nearby villages. Well at least it was nearby if you could use apparation. Their department often worked alongside and even within the Auror Department in such matters.
“It won’t harm the beast, I-I mean animal,” Willa, the jittery herbologist and genius scientist told Faith as the Auror looked around at her office. It was stacked with shelves filled with glass jars and plants, many of them hanging over or climbing towards the ceiling. Faith picked up one of the jars and swished it around a little bit, “This type of tranquilizer will put them to sleep on contact, actually technically it will take about three to five seconds for the potion to take effect, but it won’t hur-” Willa began to explain but watching Faith disturbing her jar she threw up her hands and ran over to her, “Oh no! Please, don’t touch that!” she cried as the slender wisp of a woman ran over to Faith and daintily took the jar from her hands. “It is very delicate, you see.”
Faith nodded, “Right,” with a sigh, “So where are these tranquilizers you were telling me about?” When Willa turned a small black case around so that she could see, the one she had been filling five second earlier, before Faith had started playing with her jars, a small smile hinted at the edges of her mouth. Faith completely blocked out whatever babble Willa was saying about which colour pertained to which beast. She immediately picked one up and began swishing around the neon green liquid inside. “These look like glass, they won’t explode on me before it even exits the barrel will it?” she asked looking skeptical.
“It does, but it’s not,” Willa’s eyes lit up. Faith knew that expression, Willa had once again done something remarkable, and smiled fondly as Willa began to excitably tell her what polymer-something-or-other the bullet casings were made out of. “And this is your gun,” she said pulling out a giant gun from beneath her desk. “The tech guys Andrew, Martin, and Cory modified it for you.”
Faith grabbed the gun from her and started inspecting it, “Now this is what I’m talking about.”
“It won’t shoot actual bullets, just these.” Willa bit her lip nervously and then added, “That is what I meant by modified.”
“What?” Faith looked at Willa disappointed for a second and then shrugged. “Oh well, at least I get to shoot something, right?” she flashed a smile at Willa before making to grab for the box when someone came in.
((ooc: Anyone? Faith needs to be written. Lots of people would be great! ))
