((ooc: Please do excuse the crap title haha. This is the post-Hufflepuff-Quidditch-win I promised ages ago haha so anyone and everyone is welcome, ecstatic Hufflepuffs, pissed off Ravenclaws, Slytherins and Gryffindors, anyone basically!))
"We won!" Amy found herself cheering loudly as she grabbed Billie's arms and held them up in the air along with her own. It was the first time Hufflepuff had beaten Ravenclaw in god knows how long and Amy's hat-trick of goals had helped secure the early lead and apparently really boosted the team's moral. She still couldn't believe it had happened- Hufflepuff were going to be in the final of the Quidditch Cup for the first time in years and she was on the team that helped them get there. As pathetic as it may seem to those who did not understand Quidditch, this day was therefore one of the best of Amy's life thus far.
"Caleb?" she called out, squeezing through the throng of cheering Hufflepuffs gathered around the rest of the team, until she found the boy in question. "You did it! See I told you that you're a fab captain!" she enthused, dropping her own broom to instead practically launch herself at Caleb, flinging her arms around his neck as the crowd of ecstatic Hufflepuffs around them engulfed the team together.

Billie hugged Amy tightly and jumped up and down, shouting so loudly that she could probably bust someone's eardrums. It was their last year of school ever, and it seemed like they finally had a shot at the Cup! Exhausted, she wiped her forehead with the back of her hand, brushing away curls that stuck lightly to her temple, and took a hearty swig of water.
"I think he's over there," she yelled and pointed, secretly hoping that the thrill of the moment would push Amy and Caleb into each other's arms once and for all. What? Billie was about to open her mouth to say something, when she felt herself being suddenly hoisted up in the air by the team's Keeper.

Caleb cheered loudly pumping his fist into the air and clamped his teammates on the back as they praised one another. “We won, we won!” he laughed loudly double high-five-ing some of his mates and then tossing his arm over their shoulders as they sang the chants for the Puffs Quidditch team they had made up to pump themselves up when they thought for sure they were going to loose. They were not bad as far as Quidditch songs went. Though they did sound sort of like they were drunk, then again, thanks to someone spiking the punch one of the students had brought out some of them were.
“Amy!” he called in return beaming as he saw her. Caleb was a happy person to begin with but it looked as though his face might be plastered into a smile for eternity the way he was grinning like a Cheshire cat. “We did it!” he said scooping her up into a big hug. He was allowed to embrace her like that. It was a victory. Such hugs were expected, without being totally obvious that he was still head-over-heels in love with her. Though recently there had been another person who had unexpectedly entered the picture. She had slightly thwarted his seven year plan of wooing Amy Weatherson.
That someone was Francesca Ainsworth. He spotted Franky through the crowd of people standing rather awkwardly on the sidelines. It was then that he caught her eye, he held her gaze sinking into those deep pools of amber. For that moment it was as if nothing else existed. Everything quieted for those few seconds, the cacophony of people cheering disappeared, and all he saw was Franky. He found her beautiful and mysterious, like a puzzle he couldn’t quite piece together, she intrigued him and astounded him simultaneously. Amy brought him back to reality however as she launched herself at him and he found himself wrapping his arms around her.
((ooc: Hope that was alright, I really want some tension between them finally, I figured Franky was a good one, hehe.))

Franky approached the group of cheering students. She walked slowly up the sloping lawn and remained on the edges. She was wearing her usual clothes again, yet slightly updated from whence she arrived at school. She had on her skinny jeans, black top and button up vintage looking jacket. She had abandoned her ‘Captain Jack Harkness’ look for something a bit cooler in the pleasant weather. She smiled a small rather timid smile at all the people yelling, screaming, hollering, and singing. With her rather old-fashioned looking camera hanging by a leather strap around her neck she picked it up in her hands and carefully began snapping photos of people.
She smiled shyly over her camera as she took a fantastic one of Caleb and his mates cheering and singing. It was then that they’re eyes met. Startled she blinked a few times and looked away tentatively for a second before she was drawn back to his gaze which hadn’t faltered. For a few seconds they stared at one another, and then biting her bottom lip she looked away and walked near to where Billie was stood until she was hoisted into the air by the team’s keeper. Franky snapped a photo of it and smiled. It was a great photo.
“Heya Billie, great game!” she congratulated the girl. Even though Franky was in the house of the loosing team, Ravenclaw, she felt closer to the Hufflepuff’s she knew and some friends she had made in the other houses to be honest.

Lavender skipped over to the massive group of students cheering and singing. “WHOOO GO TEAM!” she cheered even though she was on an opposing team, she didn’t care. A party was a party. Some of the lads lifted the tiny blonde into the air and passed her around as they cheered.
“Whoo!” she yelled again as they finally let her down. Lavender grabbed one of the sweets and stuffed it into her mouth. “Hey gals,” she greeted Billie and Franky. “Nice job up there Equality,” she complimented Billie, ever since she had gone on record saying her stripper name would be Equality, if she had to have one at all that is, Lavender had deemed that her new nickname. Lavender liked giving people nicknames whether they were wanted or unwanted. “How are you Franks?” she nudged the girl with a playful smile and then stroked her chin thoughtfully with one hand as though she were imitating a magnificent villain from one of her favourite comic books. “I still haven’t sorted out a good nickname for you yet, well you’ll just be Franky for now I guess,” she smiled at the girl who seemed a bit shy but she was alright. “Uh-oh blonde bimbo four o’clock,” Lavender said rolling her eyes as Buffy Summers joined the group. “One, two, three, hair flip,” she laughed sarcastically at the ‘plastic’ girl.

Speaking of other blonde weirdos, Alexis came dancing over to the group. She was barefoot and fancy free. She started making up a silly little dance as a few others joined in, namely Aloysius the freckle-faced red-head that wasn’t really the smartest tool in the shed but he was bloody hilarious, a really good bloke and fun to be around.
Alexis high-fived Piper, Alo and a few others of her Hufflepuff friends before she found Caleb, though he seemed a bit preoccupied with Amy. Smiling in that, ‘I have a secret’ kind of way she made her way over to where Billie, Franky and Lavender stood rather than bother Caleb. “What’s up girls!!!” she was admittedly a bit hyped up on copious amounts of sugar. “Hey have you ladies seen Mattie?” she asked casually.
((ooc: Whew! I have only now just realised that I have no boys remaining at school other than Caleb. Mmmm. Should I make another one…))

Flinging her arms around his neck, possibly practically choking him in the process, Amy squeezed Caleb tight to her as the roars of the rather pleased Hufflepuffs around them seemed to drown out even Amy's ability to hear her own shouts of "We won!" Letting the poor boy breathe for a moment Amy released him to instead grab their keeper and give him a hug too. Seemingly part of her celebration included practically suffocating all the other members of the team with her overly enthusiastic hugs.
Turning back to the one person she truly wanted to celebrate with, she saw Caleb's Cheshire cat smile and her own grin only broadened; it was more accurate perhaps to say she was positively beaming. The thing was, she hadn't had any sugar or alcohol or... drugs... she was high on life at that very moment. That was the only excuse she could give - well willingly give - for why she did what she did in the next moments. Launching herself back at Caleb, she found herself running her hands up his chest to then clasp his face softly before she kissed his lips fiercely, ignoring the chants and cheers around them for that moment as the outpouring of Amy's joy resulted in her 'snogging the face off' the team Captain before she'd even truly realised what she was doing.

Matt wasn't one for Quidditch, generally. He'd been forced into enduring many a match due to his family's love of it, mainly Bradley it had to be said, because the only thing Matt thought was good about professional Quidditch at least was that a lot of the players were damn hot. That wasn't, however, the sort of thing you shared with your older brother who made a point of acting grossed out whenever you even mentioned the word 'hot'. Still, Matt was one for team and house spirit and so had dutifully supported Hufflepuff with unyielding enthusiasm for years, years in which he'd had to somehow remain upbeat and bouncy despite their terrible defeats. This year was not one of those occassions, however.
Bounding down from the pitch amongst a crowd of cheering Hufflepuffs, he joined the fun in helping to hoist some of the team up above them, before he noticed some very familiar faces near him. "Hey, Joe?" he nudged the guy stood cheering next to him, "Do me a favour, take over in holding him up will ya?" he requested, ducking out of the way to let him do so before practically scurrying off so Joe couldn't decide lifting up a rather muscular Keeper wasn't exactly fun and games.
Popping up, seemingly from nowhere, beside Franky, Billie, Lavender and Alexis, "Did someone say 'Mattie'?" the boy enthused with a broad grin as he slung an arm over Alexis' shoulder before pulling her closer to him for what he deemed a 'proper hug'. "I hope you meant me and not Matt Mackenzie?" he asked, momentarily holding her at arm's length and fixing her with a stern look as though daring her to answer 'yes', before grinning and turning to the others, "Hiiiiii guys, well girls... Franky, deserting Ravenclaw for Hufflepuff are we? Wise move. And youse... Pearson, Summers... really?" he looked to them in a jokingly disappointed way before grinning, "We won!" he added his own little contribution in the form of a shout as he felt this hadn't been screamed at the top of someone's lungs for a few seconds.

((ooc: I pictured Caleb’s reaction like that of The Doctor when River kisses him and he sort of flails his arms.))
Caleb found himself completely flustered as Amy launched herself at him and started snogging him before he knew what was going on. He sort of flailed his hands awkwardly not knowing what he should do with them and finally let them rest on her upper back. As soon as he had she released him and he quickly let go.
Exhaling, able to breath again, he opened his mouth a few times, “Uh, I, mm, right,” he managed scratching the back of his head a bit confused. “GO TEAM!” he yelled turning round to clap hands with another team mate deciding that pretending like that didn’t just happen, or at the very least like ‘Amy snogging the face off him’ didn’t mean more than Amy expressing her ecstasy at winning, because it didn’t, right?
Seeing Mattie, Alexis, Billie, Lavender and Franky he waved at them and made his way over to them, “Heya ladies, Mattie,” he nodded to them, his gaze pausing for a second longer on Franky and then glanced toward Buffy a little perplexed until he realised she was flirting with they’re muscular looking beater. “Right,” he glanced back to them. “So Lav you abandoned your teammates for ours?” he asked jokingly, “And Franky betraying your team and in their hour of need how evil!” he teased smiling at her and slung an arm around Billie and Mattie, “I hope you two are feeling pretty proud of yourselves right about now,” he said and then laughed as Mattie yelled again, and Caleb chimed in with another “We won!”

((ooc: haha that's perfect, I loved that bit in DW <3 ))
Amy realised what she was in fact doing when one of the team's Beaters, clearly noticing her practically mauling Caleb's mouth, let out a shout of "good on you, Weatherson!". Freezing then, she inched away from Caleb, her eyes widened and a startled look twisting her features as she still held his face in her hands. "Oh my god... I am SO sorry," she apologised in a rushed breathy whisper, shocked by her own behaviour, as she looked utterly mortified and quickly dropped her hands from where they'd previously rested on his cheeks. As Caleb seemed unable to form a coherent sentence and then turned away from her, yelling "GO TEAM!" and seemingly pretending as though she hadn't just attacked him with her mouth, Amy's eyes closed in despair as that horrible ice-cold wash of embarrassment came over her and made her turn a deathly shade of pale as she stood frozen in place.
She wasn't allowed the indulgence for too long though as the same Beater slung his arm over her shoulders and asked her what was up. Coming back to reality and her excited peers around her, Amy displaced his arm with an apologetic look, "I'm fine," she assured him, mustering up her best cheery smile that she could manage but the mortification still clouded her thoughts. "I... I can't... breathe I need to... to go... uh for a walk or something," she claimed, turning on her heel and pushing her way out of the throng of people until she made it to a clear part of the Lawns away from the crowds of people. "Oh god, you stupid, stupid girl!" the brunette cursed herself in a hiss, stepping into the shadow of a large oak tree and sliding down the trunk until she sat, knees clutched to her chest, in a defeated posture. "Why?!" she asked herself despairingly, shaking her head at her actions, as she gazed at the cheering crowd of people she'd been a part of until she'd made a stupid, rash decision to kiss her best mate. Now the people seemed blurred and distant as she was acutely aware that many of them had just seen her practically launch herself at Caleb without so much as giving him time to protest.

Billie finally decided to tumble down from the shoulders of their Keeper, finding herself caught by several random arms. Making a little flourish with her hands, she took a dramatically low bow at all of the congratulations. She'd lost her other team members to the masses a long time ago, but spotted Amy leaving the crowd.
"WEATHERSON!" Billie yelled as loudly as she could, but her voice was hoarse from celebrating and it was impossible to hear over everyone anyway. She chose to glare at the Beater who'd last stood with her in a What did you do now? sort of way, standing on her toes to try to see which way Amy had gone.

"Good, I'm glad or else I might have had to fix you with a very, very stern look, young lady," Mattie claimed, faux-glaring at her, but the perpetually ecstatic smile he usually wore ruined the act somewhat. It seemed Alexis couldn't do glares either though, so they were well matched really.
Just then, out of the corner of his eye, Mattie spotted Amy and Caleb kissing, well he wasn't sure whether you could call it kissing because she seemed to launch herself at a clueless Caleb who then flailed awkwardly, clearly not quite sure what to do with this new development, before walking of and yelling a thoroughly enthusiastic "GO TEAM!". Brow furrowed as he kept watching long enough to see Amy close her eyes despairingly, Mattie was taken aback as he realised Caleb had approached them all and was now greeting them. "Hey man," he said, his tone clearly distracted as he watched the brunette push her way through the crowd. Losing her from his line of vision he sighed slightly and turned his attention fully back to the group he was standing in, "Oh believe me, I am feeling like one proud... one proud puff, oh no wait, that sounds horribly offensive," he laughed suddenly at how his attempt at alliteration sounded, waving a hand in the air as though to wave this attempt away.
He suddenly felt something launch at him, arms wrapping around him, as very soft, very warm (very lovely in fact) lips met his. He barely realised he had responded to this, his mouth softening with the surprise of it and then reciprocating the heated kiss just as gladly. But all too quickly it was over and he barely had time to realise Alexis was the owner of said lips as she casually mentioned going to check on Amy and then skipped away. "Lexie? Woaaaah, where's she going?" he said, a slight pout of disapproval playing over his lips then, "Wait, is that what happens when Hufflepuff win? We both get oh-so-wonderfully mauled by girls? I kinda like it, truth be told," Mattie commented to Caleb.
((ooc: It was fab, Matt's not complaining. :P ))

Wide eyed, Amy looked up wearing a deer caught in the headlights expression before relaxing as she saw the person who had approached her was Alexis. "Thanks Lexie, hopefully we can keep that form up and we might actually even win this year," she said, trying her best to converse as she usually would though something of her bubbly spirit was lost from her manner of expression.
Staring at the blades of grass in front of her she muttered tonelessly, "Umm... I just- I just kissed Caleb... why did I just kiss Caleb?" she blurted out, shaking her head confusedly, "I don't understand why I...why I did that," she trailed off, looking utterly horrified, as she once more sunk her head in her hands in utter mortification.

In the mess of Quidditch players and fans, it took Billie a moment of listening to everyone's chatter to figure out what had happened between Amy and Caleb – and Alexis and Mattie! – but once she did, she grinned with the power of a million watts. She loved love, okay, and lovely people kissing each other, and she couldn't even conceive of those kisses as being a problem for anyone because clearly those couples were made for each other!
She bounded over to Mattie and Caleb, ruffling the hair on both of their heads at once. "Errrr... why has no one snogged me and run away yet? I SCORED TWO GOALS, DAMMIT!" Billie shouted at the top of her lungs, stretching her arms out to either side of her... there was a good chance that she would not be coming down from this high any time soon.
