Pulling her cloak tighter around her, Edie looked around to make sure no one saw her turning into Knockturn Alley walking quickly with her head down until she reached her destination, a shady side street in which a very ugly witch stood, her grey hair long and straggly but pulled tightly into a pony tail.
Approaching the woman, Edie tried to stand taller and appear more confident even though she was in reality terrified of being seen, "Do you have what we discussed? Is it...does it have the same affect as the muggle stuff?" she asked in a hushed voice, biting her lip as she took the small package from the old witch. "Its better than that muggle clap-trap, ye wont find any better than that! But..aye...it'll do for what yer needin' it" the old witch spoke in a grating raspy voice, Edie shuddered before handing over a small bag of money as payment.
"If its sufficient to my needs, I'll let you know. We may do business again, good day to you" she gave a curt nod before hurrying away, not stopping until she reached a dark doorway. Leaning against the door, Edie leaned her head back and closed her eyes to try stop herself from crying, pressing her hands tight against her face she gave a hearty sob and shook her head slowly, dropping her purchase she let out a panicked gasp.
"Oh where are you?! Where...I need you, please dont do this" she spoke aloud, looking for the folded up package the ugly old witch had just given her, now on her hands and knees crawling about looking everywhere for it, not realising that she was no longer alone.

(ooc: Edie had a part-time job in Rosemary's shop, yeah? TOTALLY SORRY if I'm thinking of some other character!)
Pulling her arms close to her body, Rosemary shivered. She hated Knockturn Alley. Unfortunately, she had to venture there at least a few times a month to meet with potential sellers. Dark, creepy antiques weren't really her cup of tea, but they had been a huge sell with the gothy teenage set and she'd do anything she could to keep her shop from going under.
She turned suddenly on her heel, sure she'd seen a face she recognized out of the corner of her eye. "Edie?" she gasped in surprise, gazing down at the panic-stricken girl crawling on the ground. Rosemary bent down and calmly put her arm around her. "Hey hon... are you alright?" she asked quietly.
"Let's just... well, let's get you home, okay?" She nodded kindly and patted Edie on the shoulder, trying to ignore the rather shady characters lurking on the streets before them.

Patting the ground in a panic, she needed to find her package but Edie couldnt see it anywhere and she gave a gasp when she felt an arm on her shoulder, whipping her head round before sighing in relief as she recognised the woman talking to her as Rosemary from the Antique Shop.
"Rosemary! Oh god...you scared me! Im fine...fine...I just...I dropped something and I need to find it" she answered distractedly, her eyes shifting back & forth over the ground for the stupid package that she shouldnt have even been buying.
"Can you see it anywhere? Its about this size..." she hold her hands a small way apart to indicate the package she'd dropped, "Its in a brown paper, dark brown with string...I need to find it! Why did I buy it? Im so stupid" she added with a sad look at the floor, she wasnt sure how she'd tell Rosemary what was in the package if she asked.
(Ooc. Im sure it was Edie we'd said would work there!)

"Okay.... yeah, sure," Rosemary spoke softly as she bent over to search the for the package Edie had lost, quickly scanning the ground.
She pushed a strand of hair from her eyes and stopped for a second to look over at the girl. "No, hon... you're not stupid, everything's going to be okay. The wind probably swept it behind those bins or something... but, um... do you want to tell me what's going on? We can talk back at the shop if you'd like." She tried to smile encouragingly, despite having no idea what in that package could be causing Edie so much bother.

"I shouldnt have bought it, why did I do it?! Its so stupid" she muttered again, her hand wiping the tears from her cheek roughly before she spied the tiny package, almost lunging on it she grabbed it and held it tightly to her chest as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath in.
Looking at Rosemary with a guilty look, Edie started to cry and shook her head, "Rosemary...I dont know what to do. Im...I think Im losing him and I thought this would make him stay...I dont know what t-t-t-to do" Edie couldnt hold her sobs in anymore and let herself collapse onto Rosemary, her whole body shuddering with the power of her sobs.
(ooc. Sorry this took forever)

Rosemary gently wrapped her arms around Edie, lightly rubbing her arm in a calming way. "Edie, sweetie... everything's going to be okay, I promise," she said for the second time, just trying to be calm and supportive. "If there's anything I can do, or if you need to talk, just know that I'm here for you, okay?"
She pulled a packet of Floo Powder from the pocket of her coat and nodded towards the large, looming brick building in front of them. "Want to get out of here? The shop's open if you need a place to stay for a bit, maybe get something to eat... from Just Desserts, I mean, you don't have to eat any of my vegan crap this time," she tried to smile encouragingly. As someone who always lacked in the friendship arena, Rosemary wasn't sure how to act in these situations -- or if she was saying any of the right things -- but fixing problems with copious amounts of junk food was the only method she knew.

Sniffing loudly and taking large gulps of breath, Edie nodded her head as Rosemary said she could talk to her, tears still streaming down her face as she thought this was one of the nicest acts anyone had ever done for her. She needed a friend more than ever now and here was Rosemary, the kindest lady Edie knew and she was offering her help.
Pushing herself to her feet, Edie clasped the small package in her hand and followed Rosemary to the large building, "I'd lo-love a cup of tea and a fr-frog" Edie stuttered out, wondering to herself if she should just tell Rosemary what was in the packet. "I thought if I got him what he needed, he wouldnt have to stray" she muttered nonsenically, looking sadly to the hand that held the small package before disappearing into the grate, reciting the store name loudly and as clearly as she could before disappearing in a burst of green flames.
Coughing softly as she exited the fire in Rosemary's shop, Edie stood nervously in the middle of the room as she awaited the owner, wondering if she would see the look of disappoint on Rosemary's face when she admitted what she'd been up to.
