Bored out of his mind Joshua Vorpahl sat spinning butterbeer bottle tops at a table close to the door and by default, the window of the Three Broomsticks. Glancing up with disinterest at the witches and wizards passing by he absent-mindedly spun the bottle top in front of him once more with his wand, oblivious (or perhaps not so much knowing Josh) to how much the person on the next table to him was annoyed by this fidgeting. Sighing again he suddenly slapped his hand down on the table, stopping the bottle top, as he instead put his wand down, reaching for his butterbeer and taking a sip for want of something to do, anything would do!
Meghan and James had both abandoned him at home for god know's what reason and he'd apparated to Hogsmeade purely because he had no desire to be stuck in the house all day like a sad, pathetic boy who had no friends. Which wasn't true, Josh had plenty of friends, they'd just all pissed off at the start of the summer to various exotic locations, mumbling something about 'family committments' or 'holiday' when he asked about it. Deciding in that moment that most of his friends were pathetic fuck-ups he picked up his wand again with the intent to spend most of his time in the pub annoying the hell out of the bloke on the table next to him who already seemed rather irritated by his pointless bottle top spinning spell.
((ooc: Anyone? haha Josh is bored so seriously, anyone, please?! He begs, really he does!))

((ooc: Hope you don't mind Mac, let me know if you do, I don't mind at all.)) “Hey Joshey Boy, what’s up?!” Mackenzie asked brightly as she sauntered across toward his table, her long blonde hair trailing behind her. The Gryffindor beamed her pleasantly seductive smile before plopping herself down into the seat across from him without even asking if he wanted her company knowing he probably would protest, and assumed that he could use a bit of company anyways, judging by his intent one-sided bottle top spinning contest. “You know, you are doing a marvelous job of annoying Malcolm over there,” she added motioning to the boy at the table next to them with another playful smile as she took a sip of her own butterbeer before tracing water rings on the table, and set her bag, with her most resent book, for “light reading” beside her chair. ((ooc: Yay, I’m back! In case you couldn’t tell, hehe. And this is Mac’s first post ever! And I apologies in advance for my rubbish writing, the time difference and delayed flights have got me all wonky. I’m sure I’ll go crash in a few moments and write sometime in the wee hours of the morning, hehe.))

((ooc: Of course I don't, she's great, thanks for replying with her! It wasn't rubbish at all but welcome back!! How was Hawaii? )) Looking up as he heard a voice greeting him he was met with the sight of the ever hot, and ever lovely, Mackenzie and he smiled almost in relief that finally someone interesting had decided to show up! "Hey Mac, finally someone graces me with their presence!" he replied as she sat down across from him and then, hearing her next words he assumed an expression of innocence. "Really? You mean this," he swished his wand around again, spinning the bottle top, "... is annoying Malcolm? Oh wow, I had no idea, how terrible of me!" he exclaimed in a surprised tone that was really rather convincing, if you didn't know Josh better that was! Grinning mischievously then he muttered another spell under his breath, the bottle top now spinning faster, and he was rewarded by a glimpse of the vein throbbing on Malcolm's forehead as the boy got more annoyed. "So how's your summer been? I'll bet it's been a hundred times more interesting than mine, yeah?" he asked Mackenzie, smiling then before taking another sip of his butterbeer. "What book are you reading at the moment anyway?" he questioned, inclining his head to the bag she'd put down, and knowing it had to contain a book since Mackenzie liked to read.
