Peering at Steve's arm too as he tried to read the scrawl on it she laughed at his explanation, "Yeah, right classy, that's the word I was looking for," she joked. "I'm up for it... guys?" she asked Hannah and Olivia, turning to find the latter hugging Steve in much the suffocating manner she had. "We have to keep him," she pointed out and then smiled, "Sure, yeah, maid of honour at this fradulent wedding, why not? You have to duty of having to persuade everyone else that our marriage is legit and we actually love each other and are so not just doing this so Steve can stay in the country indefinitely," she joked easily.
As Hannah jumped in front of Olivia to stage an intervention Juliet threw her arms up in the air, "Woo, go Han!" she exclaimed proudly as it seemed to work. Separate they might be as helpful as a chocolate fireguard, together they were great at stopping their friend from flirting with someone when she was less than sober and not in any position to make sensible decisions. Confusedly spinning around as she heard Olivia's shout she saw Rory shuffling through the crowd and her smile grew into a mischevious one as the bloke made it over to them. Looking between the two of them she rolled her eyes; she truly wondered whether Rory thought he was being all secretive and cool about his crush on Olivia. If that was what he was going for it really wasn't working in the slightest. She just about noticed the almost soppily delighted smile on his face as Olivia pulled him in for a hug - undoubtedly he thought no one else could see him - and cleared her throat purposefully, "Uh, guys?" she said.
"All due respect, Beaky, you're more Cinders than Charming," Juliet shrugged casually with an innocent smile before purposefully elbowing Steve sharply as he sarcastically asked Rory if the Bulge was more his scene. "I concur with Hannah, shush you." Then, turning to Rory and Olivia she said simply, "You're staying, you're making sure Livvy stays on the straight and narrow bloke-wise tonight, you're dancing and pretending to enjoy yourself and you're going to get a room with Livvy before the tension kills me," she announced. It wasn't a series of questions, it was a series of orders, and she fixed him with a stern Juliet glare just to make sure he was onboard with her way of thinking. "Fab!" she announced, taking his awkward smile as an agreement, and clasping her hands together excitedly, "Right, I am off to the bar, drinky drink drinks everyone? Yes, good!" she said, without waiting for their answer, as she grabbed Steve's hand and pulled him away with her to the bar.

"I'm sure it is, I let go of the tensions of fast modern city paced living in different ways though," Rory protested but his heart wasn't in the protest, he knew already he'd been talked into staying by a certain person. As his step-sister whispered about Olivia's charm his eyes widened, "Aww come on, I'll bet everyone elsel loved that," he commented teasingly.
He found his cheeks darkening again as Juliet said he was 'more Cinders than Charming'... thing is, he couldn't even offendedly disagree because she was probably right. Rory had never faced possible death at the hands of an enemy but, you know, he'd always suspected that he'd have the 'flight' rather than 'fight' reaction to such a situation. None of that said 'Prince Charming' coming to the rescue particularly. "Oh... I am, am I?" Rory asked amusedly as Juliet ordered him what to do. He knew he'd given in to her; it was easier than arguing. "Heeeeey I don't... we aren't... there's isn't tension!" he finally decided on the wording of his exclaimed protest though the fact his voice raised an octave as he said it perhaps indicated she was closer to the mark on his feelings for Olivia then he'd dare admit aloud. Smiling awkwardly at Juliet, because damn she knew, he was more than slightly relieved as she went off to get drinks for them all.
Rory's particular brand of dancing was known as the headless chicken; he had very little grace and his body shape was decidedly of the gangly, flailing arms mode. But as Hannah insistently pulled them out to dance he couldn't help but join in. Besides he was actually drawing more attention to himself by standing stationary than he was dancing with very little sense of what 'cool' dancing looked like.

"It was a legitimate question, jeez," Steve muttered in faux-indignation as both Hannah and Juliet jabbed him.
He then followed Juliet (or was pulled, more accurately), carefully swerving and dodging around uncoordinated dancers until they were stood around the bar and out of earshot of the others. "So, I know being apathetic and douchey is kind of my thing, but I actually want to be a decent wing-man and help Rory right now, like, out of the goodness of my heart," Steve said with a completely perplexed look on his face, before clutching at his chest like he was having a heart attack. "What are these? Are these feelings? I don't like it, Jules. Make it stop," he deadpanned.

"What did I just say? Zip it, Mister," Juliet warned Steve with a faux-stern glare, placing her hand over his mouth momentarily as if to physically block him from saying anything more. Then, deciding instead to drag him over to the bar as a method to get him away from Rory, Jules squeezed and dodged past the crowd of dancers, letting out a loud 'woo!' of success as she finally reached a spot in the bar where you could actually stand for any length of time without a flailing limb hitting you in the head. "Mmm, yes it really is," she agreed about him being 'apathetic and douchey' - well he was the one who had willingly said it about himself, not her - before leaning against the bar top as she waited for the barman to finish serving someone else. "You want to... wing-man Rory... seriously?" she asked, an eyebrow raised dangerously high with clear skepticism written all over her face. Shaking her head quickly as though she simply refused to believe it, she blurted out, "Naaaah, there's gotta be another explanation for you being all caring and crap all of a sudden," she was only half-joking though.
As the barman got to her she ordered everyone's usual drinks, also adding the standard, no-fuss bottle of beer for Rory, before turning back to Steve with a mischevious smile. "Is it wrong that I kinda really wanna do a bit of meddling?" she asked and then sighed overly dramatically, "I don't think I've ever wanted to knock two peoples' heads together as much as Rory and Olivia. Can she not see the loyal little puppy act he's always had going on? Beaky thinks he's doing a good job of 'hiding it' and 'playing it cool'... it just makes him more awkward but I gotta say I like stirring things up and watching his face turn red, it's cute... in a... you know 'cute guy' kind of way," she scrunched her nose up slightly with a shrug of her shoulders. It wasn't the 'kinda thing' she looked for in a bloke but she could see why Rory might potentially be deemed adorable to other women, like Olivia, if only she'd open her eyes to what was blatantly staring her in the face.

Noticing a group of girls, Cian grabbed a bottle of beer and made his way over to them, pleased to see that the girl he kissed at New Year was in the group. Fixing his hair, Cian walked over to the small brunette and put his arm around her waist and pulled her close to him.
"Hey darlin', whats the craic?" he asked her in a low drawl, giving her his sexiest smile, taking a long drink from his beer as he waited on her answer, not letting go of her waist.
(ooc. Sorry, Cian wanted to hijack Hannah, lol)

"If you're gonna 'get a room', don't have it be in our flat cos our walls are paper thin and you're basically my BROTHER," Hannah shouted at Rory and Liv while turning to nod her agreement at Juliet (a little too late, as her cousin had already left to get drinks).
She felt someone sidle up next to her and quickly whipped her head around. "Heeeee-ey..." she said tentatively, trying to put a name to his face before announcing a little too proudly, "Cian!" She was feeling a bit of that 'oh hey there, guy I randomly made out with at New Year' awkwardness, while also kind of not minding if it were to happen again. What? "It was s'posed to be Girl's Night, but, uhhhh some people didn't get the memo," she laughed while resting an arm on his shoulder. Pointing at the others, she yelled over the music, "That's Livia, who I... live-ia with... and Rory my step-bro, then Jules and Steve are around somewhere," she waved her hand in no particular direction.

Rory found himself turning bright red at the suggestion of 'getting a room'. It was a really good thing none of them were good at Legilimency when it came to his feelings about Olivia; his own imagination was enough to often make his blush deepen perceptibly. "Don't worry, Han, I wouldn't dare uh have a girlfriend and um well... you know... with her anywhere near you," he assured her in a faux serious tone and then smiled slightly, "But nevertheless I love you too almost-sis," he shook his head in amusement.
Looking up in surprise then as a bloke siddled up to Hannah and grabbed her round the waist, Rory looked between the pair of them suspiciously; he thought, as her step-brother, he ought to look out for her, 'have her back' if you will, but Rory wasn't exactly the 'fiercely protective' type. At least not against undoubtedly charming blokes like this 'Cian' who had always intimidated him as a teenager and continued to do so to this very day. How such blokes had that much confidence he'd never understand. "Eeesh, nice to know my presence is appreciate, well so-rry for being male," he elongated the sound jokingly, flashing a brief warm smile her way, as Hannah claimed they were supposed to be having a 'girls' night out'.
"Hullo," Rory said with a distinctly awkward half-wave as a form of greeting to this guy Hannah obviously knew. He felt distinctly uncomfortable as she rested against the bloke, his eyes seemingly kept flickering down to the arm Cian had slung around her pulling her close to him, and so he whispered to Olivia while his step-sister's attention was taken by him, "Um should we not leave them to it, Livvie?" he asked uncertainly.

Winking at Hannah as she called his name out a little too enthusiastically, Cian smirked "Ye remembered my name, Im honoured" he nodded acting humble when really he was thinking how could she not remember his name, he was Cian McNamara for gods sake.
"Livia, nice to meet ye...an' Rory? Hey" he took Livia's hand and kissed the back of it softly with a cheeky wink at her before nodding his head in a manly fashion to Rory. "Girl's Night? Sounds perfect" he smiled with a soft laugh before leaning close, as if he couldnt hear or talk to her without being too close, "Ye want a drink? Yer not here with yer man are ye? Don' want me face bashed in, it's too nice" he smiled, taking a drink of his beer, his arm never moving from her waist.

((ooc: I haven’t been on properly in a while sorry ladies! Pretend like Liv has been interacting the whole time, mostly by sloshing her drink around while dancing wildly.))
Olivia had abandoned the idea of bedding the guy with the villa or whatever it was and decided instead upon dancing wildly and sloshing her drink onto other people who didn’t seem too thrilled by the whole thing. Her attempt at a sexy dance was really more like ‘drunken sexy dance.’
“Pshhh,” Olivia snorted at the idea of Rory getting a room, “What? Rory getting a room,” she punched him in the shoulder in a chummy sort of way while laughing amusedly at the idea, “I’d like to see that one, no offense stupid face,” she smiled over at Rory before taking an enormous sip of her drink.
“Heeey its Ciaaaan,” she greeted the boy loudly. As he grabbed Hannah around the waist Olivia did her not-so-subtle eyebrow lift with a sly smile, “I like where this is going,” she looked between the two of them. Then her smile grew as Cian kissed the back of her hand, “Charmed as always,” she smiled flirtily at him before he released her hand. Olivia was always trying to get Hannah to loosen up, go out, bed a guy maybe. “Yeah, girls night out, eesh,” she teased Rory and Cian with another small flirty smile before sipping her drink.
Indulging in her glass as she gazed over at them she was momentarily ripped from her thoughts, or drinking rather when Rory asked her a question. “What? Oh, right, yeah s’pose we should,” she nodded, her movements exaggerated, and her words beginning to slur as she took Rory’s hand. “We’re gonna go dance,” she announced as she pulled Rory away into the sea of people, he really didn’t have a choice in the matter.

"Yeah, me and a room... not compatible," Rory said with a laugh that was a little too loud; he was definitely overcompensating there. Luckily Olivia, in her merry and tipsy state, didn't notice at all as she punched him in the shoulder in a friendly manner. "Prefacing things with 'no offence' doesn't lessen the offence you know? I'm wounded, Livvie," he claimed with a sad look before brightening and flashing a shy smile at her. Such smiles were lost with the arrival of a, as far as he was concerned, random bloke who proceeded to get a little too close to Rory's step-sister, again as far as he was concerned anyway.
Rory turned away from Cian and Hannah with a roll of his eyes and an unimpressed mumble of "Oh brother" that was only audible to Olivia. He now knew exactly what this 'Cian' would be like; so cheeky chappy and all... good looking and charming. He disliked him on principle because he knew Cian was the kind of bloke who had been forever dating the kind of girls Rory pined after (in between his undying love for Olivia, of course) while at Hogwarts. This suspicion was confirmed as Cian kissed Olivia's hand and she flirted back with him sweetly. 'Look, why can't you just be less self-conscious, less you, and more like him?' his mind grumbled at him- mutiny from his own mind, that really was just the usual deal for Rory.
Looking to Olivia with undisguised concern as he noticed just how slurred her words had become, Rory allowed her to take his hand and pull him away into the sea of people. "Livvie, Livvie, stop-" he trailed off, his voice entirely lost among the noise of the packed dance floor they now appeared to be in the middle of. "Are you alright? Um maybe you could use a glass of water rather than... well rather than whatever that is, hmm?" he suggested, nudging his head to the glass of pink liquid in her hand. To appease her at least somewhat he allowed her to coerce him into vaguely dancing around in the most undignified manner. Olivia was one of the very few people that had ever managed to successfully persuade Rory to dance like this in front of people; he preferred slow-dances to be honest, though he highly doubted there would be any of those in this kind of establishment.

"Shut up Rory," Hannah said while waving an arm at her well-intentioned step-brother, even though he, uh, hadn't actually said anything. She leaned lightly against Cian and shook her head. "Jules is coming back with drinks, but I'll buy ya something if you like? That's how I rollll," she sang while doing a funny little shuffle. To be honest, she thought he was kind of ridic and he wasn't really her usual type (her type being older men of the distant/unavailable variety), but he was really cute and good for the occasional drunken make-out partner, she'd decided. "Oh crap there's my boyfriend!" Hannah shouted while pointing at Steve as he and Jules started walking back with the drinks, before she broke down and started laughing. "Ha, no, I'm totally kidding! Maaaajor gaynadian, okay. I'm not really... interested in the boyfriend thing right now... you know? You can keep your face!"
