Name: Claire Louise Wilkins
Nicknames: Claire-Bear (by her brothers)
Blood: Pureblood
Age: 20 (b: 1st August 1992)
Year: Graduated in 2010
Appearance: Claire has long, wavy blonde hair that she usually styles loose with bouncy waves. She has a round shaped face and bright, sparkly greeny-blue eyes. She's about average height for her age so she is usually having to look up at people when she's talking to them, which annoys her greatly, and she's fairly slim too. She likes to wear make up and style her hair though she usually goes for the minimalistic look. When out of uniform she usually wears the latest fashions though her favourite fashion style is boho chick and she loves shoes and clothes that are slightly retro or vintage.
Personality: Claire is a naturally optimistic, bright and cheerful girl who is perfectly friendly to anyone and everyone. Though her happy-go-lucky attitude seems to radiate out upon first meeting her, it's sometimes only on the surface because she has had depression in the past and lacked self confidence. However, she overcome the depression, the summer after fourth year and she seems to be coping well, thanks to her family and friends, whom she is very, very close to. She's not shy in the least and is the semi-popular type girl who is welcoming and will talk to most people, whether they be boy, girl, Gryffindor, Slytherin.
Background: She was born in the heart of Glasgow to Stanley & Lisa Wilkins, and is the second eldest of 4 (1 younger sister, 1 younger brother & 1 older brother). Her father is a journalist for The Daily Prophet and her mother is a Healer who works in the Spell Damage Ward of St Mungo's. Claire has always been brought up in the wizarding world due to the fact she's a pureblood and her other siblings also attend Hogwarts. She is closest to her brother, Jake, and they are most often found arguing or wrestling (most unladylike!) each other, due to their clashing personalities. However it was Toby, her oldest sibling, who helped her get through her depression so she has grown quite close to him over the past couple of years and would go to him if she needed advice or just wanted to talk.
At Hogwarts she was the genuinely likeable girl-next-door type, a favourite with teachers and classmates thanks to her unassuming bubbly personality. Subject-wise she tended to favour ones such as Astronomy, Ancient Runes and Divination while being horribly useless at Arithmancy (never let her do calculations, seriously!) and anything requiring a heavy practical exam (such as Defence Against the Darks) due to her slight tendency to become more clumsy than usual under pressure. It was at Hogwarts that she met Stephan Cullen, someone she dated for years and was horribly in love with, until she (due to insecurity about herself that had never quite been cured) broke up with him and he disappeared from the country for some months. It was just after this that she started work as the Welcome Witch at St Mungo's, a job which suits her naturally sunny disposition and welcoming air to a tee. The slight issue is that whilst Stephan was away she wasn't quite as sunny without him- she slipped back into depression but, thankfully, her family had learnt the warning signs and managed to persuade her to see someone about it before it got as bad as it had in her teens. Stephan has since returned and the two of them, after some rather large rocky patches, have reconciled to an extent and yes, she's still in love with him and very much aware that she made perhaps the biggest mistake of her life by breaking up with him.
Characteristics: She has the habit of skipping meals completely and then eating add odd hours of the early morning. She also tends to go oddly quiet when she is nervous about anything and so it is usually picked up on by anyone who even knows the slightest bit about her because usually she won't shut up chatting!
Other: She has a tabby cat named...Tabby (she isn't very original with naming cats!) which seems to constantly snake around peoples' ankles when they're not looking and generally get in the way. Since she doesn't have an owl she usually borrows Toby's to write to her parents.
