Name: Kyle David Michalka (pronounced Mish-AL-ka)
Nicknames: Michalka, Mich
Age: 25 (b: 1st April 1988)
Blood: half blood
Appearance: Into sports, Kyle has an athletic physique and has bulked out considerably in recent years, though he doesn't overly flaunt this. He's tall at 6 foot even. He sports the typical blond Michalka hair along with bluey-green eyes and well defined features. In terms of clothing he's a pretty casual guy so he's mostly found in a pair of well-worn jeans and simple t-shirt though he will dress up (admittedly begrudgingly) if needs be.
Personality: 'So laid back he's horizontal and 'everybody's friend' are two phrases often attributed to Kyle, and they are very true of his character. For the most part he's easy-going and easy-to-please, going along with the flow rather than planning things out too much. Very much loyal and honest, he sticks by his friends and family and would do anything to protect them- he's got basic morals in other words, and has been known to get into the occasional fight at school in the past over his family. Always up for a laugh, Kyle is more extroverted than introverted and pretty much happy and confident with who he is and what he's doing with his life.
Background: Kyle has always lived in England, with his caring, yet slightly overprotective mother, father and younger sister Katarina. It is his father who is the wizard, yet the family have always knew about it openly, for he works for the Ministry, and couldn't hide something like that easily from his wife. When he was 11, the Hogwarts letter came, exactly as expected but it was him being sorted to Ravenclaw that wasn't expected as he'd never really been seen as the academic type beforehand. He excelled in his studies (not quite to the level his younger sister now has) with minimal effort, being one of those annoying people who just knew things and could remember numerous random facts without revising. While at Hogwarts he substituted his love for muggle sports (ice hockey, rugby & American football being his favourites) with Quidditch, becoming Chaser and later Quidditch team captain in his seventh year. Graduating with EE's in all his subjects except Charms and Potions in which he got O's, he never really knew what he wanted to do in terms of a career.
After graduating in 2006 he took a year off to 'sort himself out' with the intention to travel and though the former happened, the latter he didn't entirely follow through on, unless staying with some friends in Scotland and Ireland counted. Most of his free time then was spent hiking, running and practicing various martial arts- of which karate is that which he is most practiced at. A natural knack for picking languages up, namely French, German and Spanish, he's also in recent years taught himself conversational Italian and Japanese.
However after a few years of this he decided to get his act together, moved out into his own place with a couple of mates, and finally 'got up off his arse' and got a couple of jobs: he's a barista in a coffee shop in Diagon Alley and also works nights as a barman at 'The Loft', a trendy club in the vicinity of Diagon Alley. Recently he's been living with fellow barstaffer Grace Cohen, frustrated singer Juliet Tancredi and ex-Auror-trainee and barman Justin Biermann in Hogsmeade and has grown quite close to all of them, Biermann especially so. In this time he has also been quite friendly with Natasha Armitage and the two of them are 'going out', in a very loose sense of the label, because he's tooscared hesitant to ask if she wants to be exclusive.
Characteristics: Embraces the muggle lifestyle, pretty much considering the 'wizard thing' as just a nice perk of life, so he enjoys things like films, computers, videogames etc. like a typical guy.
Other: He's a trained karate coach for Muggles, he does so love his martial arts and loves to teach others too - he teaches a class every Sunday morning. He's a fiend for his sports and exercise, often trying out a diverse range from kendo and kickboxing to yoga and rowing.
